For the past few months, our newsfeeds and timelines have been filled with talk of Artificial Intelligence (AI), ChatGPT, Bing Chat, Bard, and more. Many, including those in learning and development, have been overwhelmed by the pace of change and wondered what it all means for our work. There are so many voices, and it can be hard to know who we can rely on to give us solid advice.
One resource my team has found useful is the weekly Learning Science Newsletter produced by Dr. Philippa Hardman, an experienced learning designer and affiliated scholar at Cambridge University. Recently, Dr. Hardman has included numerous excellent resources around using AI tools in an educational context, including a checklist for evaluating the use of AI tools, and a list of 120+ AI tools both educators and learning designers can use for research, storyboarding, content writing, assessment creation, audio generation, and more.
